I co-founded and used to work for Genedata AG, a Swiss bioinformatics company based in Basel. I've since relocated to the USA, and now work for Riverbed Technology [RVBD]. Want a job?

When not at work, I like to spend time outdoors, mostly scuba diving, and hiking in the mountains and occasionally rock climbing and skiing.

What have I been up to lately?

• Implementing a read-only kernel module for SGI's extent filesystem.
• Devising an filter to automatically render some forms of email-transmitted viruses harmless.
• Writing a tool to import data from Uwatec's range of Monitor and Aladin dive computers via a home-built interface. New version was released on April 7th 2005.
